About Stumps and Rumps
My name is Megan and I am the human behind Stumps and Rumps: a collection of dog-based lifestyle and travel experiences that are intended to inspire healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives for dogs and their owners.
I started Stumps and Rumps because, like most dog owners, I want my dogs to live the best life possible. After all, they aren't just pets — they are members of my family.
It all began when I brought home a 10 week old Corgi puppy named Moose. I found myself seeking out healthier food alternatives when he developed chronic rashes, ear infections, and dry skin from the main-stream kibble that I was feeding him.
After switching Moose to a higher quality food, I saw an immediate difference in his health, behavior, and appearance. It was apparent to me that quality nutrition was necessary for a happier and healthier life for my dog.
A few months later, we ended up rescuing a female corgi puppy named Koda and with her came a whole new set of challenges to overcome.
As my corgis have grown, I have found that socialization, stimulation, exercise, and nutrition all play equal roles in my dogs' quality of life. I strive to fulfill each of those aspects as best as I can. I am learning as I go, but I hope I can share what I am learning with you and inspire you to create a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life for your dogs - and yourself!
Koda is a loving 2 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a desire for one thing: snuggling. When there is no one on the couch for her to curl up next to, she can be found in our backyard chasing squirrels, frisbees, or Moose
